2018 Attendee Information

Abstracts & Handouts

A printed program book will be distributed at the conference. Abstracts and handouts will be posted here prior to the meeting. In order to view the handouts at the conference, we recommend using a web-enabled device to access them through the PAME website. If you would prefer to have printed copies, please print the handouts prior to the meeting and bring them with you.

Capitol Hill Visits

For those who are interested, there will be an opportunity to visit Capitol Hill on Thursday, June 14. These meetings are an opportunity for participants to meet with legislators and their staff about issues of importance to the PAME community.

The visits will be scheduled between 12:00 – 3:00 PM on Thursday so please plan your travel accordingly. A Hill visit prep meeting will be held at approx. 10:30 AM on Thursday at the hotel. We recognize that some participants will arrive in Alexandria after 10:30 AM and won’t be able to attend the full meeting. A conference call will be held in advance to help participants prepare for the meetings.

Everyone participating in the visits will receive talking points with key messages to sharing during the visits, Hill visit meeting tips, and information about scheduling meetings with your legislators.

Anyone who would like to participate can indicate interest on the registration form. If you have already registered but are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact Joanna Crooks.

Childcare

Childcare will not be provided during the PAME Conference or through the hotel. Attendees will need to make their own arrangements.

Education Credits & Program Evaluation

The 2018 PAME Conference is approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit (s)™. The credit/participation claim form will be available at the event and will be sent to all registered attendees after the close of the meeting.

The American Epilepsy Society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Epilepsy Society designates this live course for a maximum of 14.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit (s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Inspiration Wall

At this year’s meeting, we will have an inspiration wall so that everyone has an opportunity to share their motivation for attending the 2018 conference and for being a part of the PAME community. Cards will be available to share your thoughts. If someone you know has been affected by epilepsy, please consider bringing a photo to post on the inspiration wall. We hope that this wall will serve as a tangible reminder of our both our individual inspirations and our shared purpose as a community.

Patient & Family Room

A family room will be available for patients and family members to use during the conference. The room will be located near the other conference meeting rooms for easy access.

Photography & Session Recordings

PAME strictly prohibits all photography (flash, digital, or otherwise), audio, and/or videotaping during the conference.

When you attend a PAME event, you enter into an area where professional photography, audio, and video recording may occur. Unless permission is revoked in writing, by entering the premises, you consent to photography and its release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, newsletters, promotional purposes, inclusion on websites, or any other purposes at the discretion of the PAME partners.
